The proximity and density of research institutions within the greater New York City metropolitan area presents a unique opportunity for graduate students and postdoctorates. NYWiSTEM unites early career scientists who are passionate about the advancement of women in STEM, unifying individual efforts to provide institutional, career, and social support for one another.
As a organization that is led by grad students and postdocs and provides programming for other grad students and postdocs, NYWiSTEM aims to enhance resources for professional advancement in the STEM community while giving valuable leadership training to our members. What we look for
No previous experience is required to join NYWiSTEM and we welcome the involvement of anyone who is interested. We strongly encourage you to join if you:
